Helena E. Cassady

Helena E. Cassady (nee Malinski/Yohe), age 89, of Palmyra and Maple Shade, NJ, passed away on September 30, 2026, surrounded by her family. 

Born in Bedminster Township, Bucks County, PA, she was a daughter of Edward and Victoria (Papciak) Malinski.

Helena spent many years working at the Deer Park Baking Factory in NJ.

Kind-hearted and full of life, Helena’s dogs were her world. She took great pride in being a mother, housekeeper, caretaker, and baker of delicious cookies.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 26 years, Michael A. Cassady; her loving children Lois Villari and Darrin Yohe; grandchildren Raymond, Brian and Scotty Villari; and great-grandson Clay Villari. 

Helena lived her final two years in PA, in the care of her loving daughter, Lois.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Original Italian Pizza & Restaurant (OIP), 150 E. Independence St., Shamokin, PA 17872. All are welcome.

Cremation Society of Schuylkill County has been entrusted with arrangements.
